THE COMPANY

THE ROLE
As a continuation of the growth plans for the exhibitions arm of this large scale organisation, they are looking to bring on a Key Account Manager to take ownership of the Tier 1 / top spending exhibitors to maximise their spend across their flagship show through delivering superior service and solutions.
The key day-to-day tasks of the Key Account Manager include:
- To take ownership, build relationships and ultimately sell exhibition space and sponsorship opportunities to the top 10% spending clients from this market leading trade show.
- To understand the core and aspirational needs of a high spending client base and offer tailored and best fit solutions to meet those needs.
- Ensuring KPIs are hit, both individually and as a team.
- Develop strong and lasting relationships with multiple points of contact through the entire client base.
- Be creative and solutions led in your approach, offering inventive sponsorship opportunities where possible.
THE CANDIDATE
The key attributes of the Key Account Manager include:
- The Key Account Manager must have sold exhibition space, either as part of a media portfolio or ideally having worked in a senior sales position on a large scale exhibition or conference.
- Must enjoy the sales side of exhibitions and have a very consultative approach to their sales structure and process. (Please note, this is not a management role or an organisational role, it is 100% sales).
- Have the sales experience and ability to account manage, develop and grow high spending clients.
- Be analytical and strategic; forecast and report well, manage time efficiently and be able to prioritise workload effectively.
- Possess a can-do attitude and drive to work hard and achieve results combines with sound networking skills is essential.
