THE ROLE

This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Development Executive to manage and take ownership of specific chapters within various publications and to be solely responsible for bringing in revenue for these.
Key Responsibilities of a Business Development Executive will include –

  • The Business Development Executive will drive chapter sales on specific publications to achieve a personal revenue target.
  • To manage the accounts of existing clients in order to secure high renewals rates and maintain good client relations.
  • To drive new business sales from the client base using expert sales strategy.
  • To win market share from competitor publications.
  • To assist the publisher is researching and effecting a successful marketing and sales strategy, which may include conference attendance, telephone and face to face, interviews, and market research.

THE CANDIDATE

  • The Business Development Executive will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience in client facing roles.
  • Must be able to work well in a team and with a range of people but also the ability to use initiative and work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to organise and coordinate multiple tasks and to go that extra mile.
  • Highly motivated and organized.
  • Must be able to work well in a fast paced sales environment, with a proven track record of hitting targets while under pressure.
  • Must be able to demonstrate negotiation, demonstration, presentation, closing and objection handling.
