THE ROLE
This is a superb opportunity for a Graduate Account Executive to sell recruitment advertising on a market leading magazine and its website, currently one of the fastest growing and most successful web services in the UK.
The key day-to-day tasks of the Graduate Account Executive include:
- Reporting to the Advertising Director regularly on new business and accounts won, working to strict targets.
- Being highly professional and consultative in managing and maintaining existing clients.
- Ensuring all admin is completed to a high standard, taking responsibility for chasing up advertising copy and payment.
- Working regularly with editorial, production and web operations to ensure accounts are management to the highest standard.
- Attending regular training sessions.
THE CANDIDATE
Key attributes of the Graduate Account Executive will include:
- Commitment, creativity, integrity and organizational skills- Proven sales and negotiation skills, and excellent communication skills are crucial.
- The candidate must be very self- motivated but also enjoy working in small teams. Enthusiasm, motivation and drive are all also essential qualities.
- Resilience and persistence, this is a challenging role which requires determination and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Must be adaptable and able to work in a variety of situations and with a variety of individuals. The role involves liaising with individuals in numerous positions and from various backgrounds.
- Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Listening is key to being successful in this role. Asking appropriate questions and identifying client’s needs is essential. Must be engaging, charismatic and be brimming with positivity and integrity!
- A savvy negotiator, must use expert negotiating skills to ensure that both parties have had their needs met and are happy with the outcome.
