A great opportunity for a Digital Sales Manager to join a leading global FTSE 250 media Company. With offices in Europe, North- and South America, the Middle East and Asia, our client is taking a quite different approach to their digital business in 2011 by accelerating the growth of digital revenue by appointing a Digital Sales Manager to work alongside content and operations teams to compliment their existing business portfolios.

The main requirements of the role will be to:-
• Deliver revenue across a range of Business websites
• To ensure that the International digital sales team deliver revenue
• To lead and manage the digital sales team
• To work with portfolio directors on strategy and budget to build digital business
• To work with central digital team to bring best practice to their digital sales processes

Job summary/purpose:-
The Digital Sales Manager will:
• Have full responsibility to ensure the delivery of new business and existing core revenue targets across a variety of established Business websites.
• Be in charge of the digital portfolio’s key revenue targets as well as targeting new key accounts internationally.
• Be responsible for developing new revenue streams and work closely with the digital operations teams, digital content teams and brand directors and their teams.
• Be based from London, but will be required to travel to manage three sales executives/sales managers based in Amsterdam and New York.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities
• You will be accountable to the Digital Director
• You will deliver personal revenue targets.
• You will be responsible for your team of International Sales Executives and Key Account Managers to deliver their sales targets.
• Responsible for organising overseas trips.
• Responsible with the Digital Director, brand directors and content managers, for identifying new markets and revenue streams.
• Recommend and implement agreed sales strategy
• Provide accurate and timely reporting of key statistics and forecasts

Skills Required
• Ideally we are looking for a media sales person who is a digital native – someone who has worked almost exclusively for digital companies and completely understands digital media sales.
• Evidence of having worked strategically.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• The candidate should be flexible and adaptable to work across different markets and a self motivated team player.
• Experience at using analytics, such as DoubleClick or Omniture, to close deals.
• Language skills would be an advantage

Please note that although this role will be managing three people, management experience is not required. The key skill set and experience required is selling digital solutions.

This is a great opportunity to join a Global media business with offices in New York, Sao Paulo, Los Angeles, Princeton, Amsterdam, Paris, Minneapolis and London. Working hours are 9-5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
